It is important to start at the exit point because that is where the most lint buildup occurs. Once this area is clean, then we can clean the entire dryer vent from that point. All of the mess is contained outside, so there isn't anything for you to clean up once the job is complete.

When Should Your Dryer Vent Be Cleaned?

It is recommended that a dryer vent be cleaned at least once a year for safety. If we come to clean your vent and we do not extract any lint or debris, then your service is free of charge.

You may need to have your dryer vent cleaned more often than once a year, especially if you are experiencing any or all of the following:

• Musty smelling towels or clothes after the drying cycle is complete
• Longer drying time than normal (you have to turn the dryer on for more time even after it stops)
• Excessive dust in your laundry room or your home
